Hi all, I donīt know if this is in the right area but anyway.

I am working in database where using my role I have created some new tables, I then created some synonyms for these tables to another role. The idea is that this user can only see these specific tables and nothing else.

I managed to get priviledges from the DBA to create synonyms to this other role, but when I log on using this new role I canīt see any of the tables I have created.

I used the create public synonym blah blah
and then create synonym for (new user).table from (my_role).table but no joy seeing the tables

Is the DBA forgetting to do something? (this is a real possibility as the DBAs here are ...well you know!)

Hi,

did the owner of these tables grant select on his table to this new user?
If not do so
