I run every week analyze and compute statistics for the tables in the dtatbase having several thousands rows. Do I need to run occassionally delete statistics too? If any one has good idea please pass on to me. Is it going for having better performance by deleting the statistics?

When you generate statistics for a table the existing statistics will automaticly get deleted. So, NO ,you don't need to do it.
