Yes.

It is a RAC installation. There are two nodes. At last 4 databases are there. I can access one database using EM on my web browser. But not able to access the database which has two instances (each on different nodes).

It is very difficult for me to monitor without the EM.

Please help me out.

Dear all,

When I followed the following step,

1. [oracle@localhost bin]$ ./emctl start dbconsole
TZ set to US/Eastern
Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Database Control Release 10.2.0.1.0
Copyright (c) 1996, 2005 Oracle Corporation. All rights reserved.
http://localhost.localdomain:1158/em/console/aboutApplication
Starting Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Database Control ..................................................fail, log wrote on sysman log.

But, I look at sysman log, the log folder was empty. Do you have any idea how to fix it?

Thanks,

lai

In the case of RAC environment, only enterprise manager will be active on that node in which instance is running.
suppose u have two instance db1(node1) and db2(node2)
and db1 instance is accure the database db.
then you will only get enterprise manager only in node1.
and cant start em on node2.
i found the above thing on RAC environment.
