I'm a beginner oracle user. I have just recently installed Oracle 10g R1 on my PC and so far so good except for one annoying problem with OEMDBC. SQL*Plus (and ISQL*Plus) doesn't seem to recognize any changes made or objects created through EM and vice versa.
I used SYSTEM account for both tools so it's not a user issue, and I'm working with only one database.

everything
when i craete any object with EM and then try to query it with SQL*Plus I get "object doesn't exists error", and when i alter any object using EM (anything for altering tables to profiles and tablespaces) and then query the data dictionary I don't see them.
all changes made with EM appear in the EM window. a new user for instance appear in users list but it's bogus. when i quey it with SQL*Plus it's like it was never created.
